Christopher Chadbourne & Associates is proud to announce the grand opening of three new galleries at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. After over three years of continued acclaim, and visitation by nearly two million people, this award-winning museum has opened the new historic-era galleries that bring more than 12,000 square feet of additional exhibits.
The new exhibitions present the history of the Marine Corps from its founding in 1775 through the Civil War and World War I.

The new galleries include hundreds of artifacts dramatically displayed, interactive exhibits that convey 18th century and WWI trench tactics and an additional immersive environment, for which the museum has become famous.
The new immersive exhibit simulates the iconic WWI Battle of Belleau Wood. Visitors enter the German-occupied wood as Marines (in a film imbedded in a theatrical set) cross an open wheat field in attack. Using Marines recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan, dressed in period uniform and accompanied by the smell of cordite, the scene is chillingly realistic.
